Within the door or window composition, glass is the undisputed key element, making up for roughly 80% of the total surface.

To assess the quality of the glass, it is important to understand the degree of thermal transmittance, namely heat dispersion towards the outside, which is measured in W/m²K. The lower the value, the greater the glass’s capacity to trap heat inside a heated house.

WARM EDGE GROOVE

Because reducing energy costs has become a priority to combat rising energy bills, but also to fight global warming caused by carbon dioxide emissions into the air. The groove guarantees energy savings and increases comfort inside the home by reducing cold areas near windows and decreasing cold air draughts.

It also reduces – and in some cases eliminates altogether – condensation on the glass pane, the risk of water infiltrations and the formation of moulds on the window surface, which cause allergies and serious respiratory diseases.

STANDARD YET EXTRAORDINARY MICRO-VENTILATION

Micro-ventilation consists in an opening a few millimetres wide between the sash/leaf and frame. To activate micro-ventilation, simply turn the handle by 45°. This small mechanism was designed to change the air with minimal heat dispersion, to constantly enjoy a pleasant air recirculation without worrying about the house cooling or heating excessively.

Doors or windows with micro-ventilation ensure a considerable recirculation of oxygen-rich air and help to expel towards the outside bad odours, dust and bacteria responsible for humidity and mould build-up.
